The site was founded by an avid traveler — Stella Vickery. Its primary goal was to describe the features of ladies worldwide and debunk some stereotypes related to misinterpretations of societal norms by modern media. 

Why “Women in Wireless”? The concept of the website’s title lies in the urge of a team to outline the beauty, aspiration, and exceptional traits of women from different regions while emphasizing their popularity in the virtual world. The name of the platform captures the essence of connectivity and mobility, suggesting that international ladies are now more accessible and connected than ever before through wireless communication.

History and concept

Women in Wireless was established in 2017 by Stella Vickery. Being involved in an international relationship and having visited a rich bundle of countries, Stella decided to create a dedicated platform that outlines all the particularities of different international relationship patterns, attributes of ladies from all over the world, and the ins and outs of cross-cultural affairs.

At the very initial stage of the site’s creation, it included only a blog devoted to female traits and stereotype-busting. Nevertheless, as the team grew, and relationship experts joined from different regions, the Women in Wireless platform expanded its horizons and became a full-fledged portal with research-based articles, podcasts, interviews with real experts and couples, and professional tips for aspiring daters.

Stella Vickery is an experienced traveler, writer, international relationship expert, therapist,  and passionate lover of life. During her travels to various countries, she was frustrated and disillusioned by the societal stereotypes about women from different parts of the world. She realized that most of these myths were untrue and needed debunking. This inspired her to create an informative website called Women in Wireless.

Back in 2017, Stella had a brilliant vision to create a platform that highlights the beauty and diversity of women, no matter where they live or what nationality they are. She established a website that focuses on the unique features of foreign women, dating, and love. Her main prerogative was to empower women to showcase their individuality and inspire men to appreciate women worldwide beyond stereotypical beliefs. It is an excellent initiative that can bring people together, promote diversity, and break down barriers to cross-cultural connections.

Considering her education, passion for writing, and proofreading, Stella Vickery became the head of the WiW content team and chief editor.

Robbie K. Melton, Ph.D. is a renowned professor at Tennessee State University (TSU), curator of mobile app development, methodologist, and trainer. She developed her own research in the sphere of connected mobile technology and collaborated with such brands as HP, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Dell, Apple, Verizon Wireless, ATT, etc. The IMS Global Learning Consortium awarded Robbie K. Rebecca McClelland is a London-based photographer, content producer, and ardent visual storyteller. She most recently worked with Airbnb for a year, producing and directing their EMEA photography and video campaigns.

Rebecca worked as The Sunday Times magazine’s photographic editor for seven years, overseeing several of their special issues. She then became the first photographic lead at NewStatesman magazine, where she was in charge of improving the magazine’s visual content following a redesign to challenge readers with sharp, dynamic photojournalism and illustration.

In 2018, Rebecca McClelland met Stella Vickery during a trip to Brazil. Stella was impressed by her work and offered to join her team without any hesitation. Rebecca found it fascinating to work in a dating niche and develop visuals for the site dedicated to women, relationships, and love. All the visual content you can see on WiW was thoroughly created by one of the most talented content producers and photographers — Rebecca McClelland.
